Not too long ago, we saw the trailer for Avengers: Endgame leaving fans wanting for more. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, a new version has arrived on the scene wherein all the roles are being played by Deadpool.
Quite honestly, it’s worth a dekko and definitely worth our time and efforts. Fans are already dissecting it with meticulous detail trying to figure the fate of the main characters and see if they can decode the story line in any way.
The excitement begins
All thanks to YouTube user Mightyracoon, we can now watch footage, albeit stitched, from the trailer with our favorite superhero superimposed while our superheroes battle it out against the mighty, Mad Titan Thanos.
The best part of the trailer is that it has a voice that is so similar to Ryan Reynolds that it gives us the feeling of things actually happening in real time.
According to Comicbook.com, Dark Matter star, Mishka Thebaud has lent the voice. In the past, while speaking about the Avengers/Deadpool crossover, Reynolds had said,
That sounds like a great idea but a very expensive idea. Can you imagine the sh*t-talking contest with Iron Man? Oh, that would be great. It would have to be rated R to completely unharness everybody. Unbridle the merriment and watch them go…
Live long Iron Man
With just about four months for Avengers: Endgame to hit the screens, resident film buff Tom Percival, who also happens to be a Marvel expert, goes in depth to see if there are indeed, any moments that could have been overlooked, or be misleading in any way. For the uninitiated, we see the trailer opening on to our favorite Tony Stark, the invincible Iron Man.
From the looks of it though, he appears to be contrary to his image. He looks hurt and almost makes us believe that he’s dying. Unless of course, this sequence is at the beginning of the movie, when he’s escaped from Titan with Nebula.
However, if the trailer is anything to go by, there is nothing that can help us assume that this is the beginning of the movie. Or perhaps, we assume that this is the end of the Endgame and these are the last moments after his big victory.
Speculations are rife
But then again, we also get to see Nebula on the ship with Tony a little later. There’s no end to how much we can go on and on about this. Especially since we, as fans of the franchise, are well aware that Endgame will go to extremes to explore different realities and timelines. Of course, there is more to the movie than our beloved Tony Stark.
We still don’t know how the big bad villain Thanos is going to behave post ‘the Snappening’ or ‘Reckoning’, as they call it in the comics. Also, how many villains are going to be there since recent promotions have made it very evident that there will be bigger threats and new foes. And what about the rest?!
Avengers: Endgame will be released in the UK on April 26. Until then, all we gotta do is wait and watch.
