The Royal Family sure does know how to make a statement. Amid widespread rumours of differences between the Duchesses, the family seems to have clearly made up for Christmas.
Royal Christmas 2018
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked alongside each other on their way to the annual Christmas Service at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham estate.
While following Prince Charles to the church, the couples were all smiles with Kate and Meghan seen talking to each other throughout the stroll.
Hundreds of fans and well-wishers had gathered outside the Church to get a glimpse of Royals, especially “The Fab Four”.
Rumours Put To Rest
Recently, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan had sparked rumours of discord when they moved out of Kensington Palace. They took up residence at Frogmore Cottage at Windsor.
However, this move hasn’t been taken in the right spirit. That’s because the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate were their neighbours at Kensington Palace
A one-of-a-kind statement from Kensington Palace was issued earlier this month to The Sun, denying the allegations of discord between Kate and Meghan. The Royal family has squashed these rumours for sure now, given the happy gathering of the couples at Sandringham.
The Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church
After the service, the family stepped out of Church, with both the Princes and their wives paying their respects to the Queen as she left for home.
Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle looked splendid with a golden glow in her countenance. Her curtsy was one to watch out for. It was a deep and prolonged bow of respect to the Queen.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle definitely stole the show, ingraining in our minds that they are sisters-in-law united, and not apart.
97 year old Prince Philip was not seen at the service. Apart from him, Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla, couldn’t make it to the service as she was recovering from a cold.
The Royal Tradition
Like most families during this time of the year, the Royals have set aside a few days for family bonding. Each year, members of the royal family along with their spouses and children gather at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England for Christmas.
The family members include, The Queen and her husband, Prince Charles and his spouse, The Princes William and Harry along with their wives, a select few relatives and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Royal family exchange gifts on Christmas Eve and later, on Christmas Day, they attend services at St. Mary Magdalene Church, partake in a turkey lunch and family dinner.
After attending the service at the church, sisters-in-law Kate and Meghan stepped out in elegance and heartfully greeted the onlookers. Kate was dressed in a beautiful red ensemble while Meghan donned a classy Victoria Beckham styled black ensemble, looking radiant and joyful.
To make it a Christmas to remember, the Queen touched many hearts with her wise words in her annual Christmas message.
