Machine Gun Kelly Shoots Eminem Again Before New Year’s

2018, what a year! Never ending beefs and squabbles between the ultra-famous. It’s just that these days people take to social media to show their hostility. Gone are the days when people pursued cold war and chose to stay in the frenemies area.

Machine Gun Kelly Vs Eminem

Right before New Year hit the clock, Rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) took to instagram to share a snippet of his famous Slim-Shady Diss track. Well, Rap God and Rap Devil have been at it since quite a while now.

The Beef History

MGK came in the line of fire in 2012, when he publicly called Eminem’s daughter, Hailie, ‘Hot as fuck‘ .

Daddy Em obviously wasn’t gonna let him slide away unnoticed. Following MGK’s twitter post and a few more disses hurled his way, Eminem directly dissed Kelly in his track “Not Alike” from the album Kamikaze.

Machine Gun Kelly retaliated with his track Rap Devil. It starts out like this,

Oh my god, Ronny Ay, somebody grab him some clippers
His fuckin’ beard is weird
Tough talk from a rapper payin’ millions for security a year
“I think my dad’s gone crazy,” yeah, Hailie, you right…

He even made public disses at ‘Rap God’ Em during his live performances, like the one in Orlando on September 16, 2018. He started the show with these lines:
“Fuck Marshall Mathers,” later on adding, “The real Slim Shady can’t stand up.”

Eminem’s retaliation

Eminem released “Killshot”, the track that features a caricature of Machine Gun Kelly. The rapper made fun of MGK’s appearance, talent and much more. MGK obviously responded to the diss, implying that the track was just above average followed by a whole lot of suggestive emojis.

Killshot had grossed 38.1 million views in the first 24 hours of its release on YouTube. It broke the record of any song with most plays in the very first day of release. It housed ice-cold disses and bone-chilling mockery at MGK’s lack of commercial success.

Part 2 of MGK-Slim Shady Beef

While the whole world thought, things had finally mellowed down now, given that 2019 is around the corner, MGK caught everyone’s attention with his post of a snippet from Rap Devil.  Probably a hint that he hasn’t forgotten about his nemesis and may take the beef further into the new year. With Eminem declaring 12 days of Diss-mas in December 2018, we don’t know now, what Slim Shady is going to do in retaliation.

The feud has apparently involved quite a bit of people, including the likes of Ozark actor Gabriel “G-Rod” Rodriguez. The actor was beaten up by MGK’s security team, for calling the rapper, “a pussy for going for family” ( MGK’s comments on Hailie to be specific).
Kelly also gave a statement that Rap God had him banned from Shade 45, due to his beef with him. Slim Shady, later on replied to this in an interview. He said,

First he said, ‘I’m the greatest rapper alive since my fave rapper banned me from Shade 45.’ I could give a fuck about your career. You think I actually fuckin’ think about you? Do you know how many fuckin’ rappers that are better than you? You’re not even in the conversation.

While Machine Gun Kelly appeared to have cooled off up till now after Killshot, with his instagram post reading, ‘just to piss y’all off one more time before the years over. y’all still BIG mad. fuck rap god im the rap devil .goodbye 2018.’ It makes us think however that this beef ain’t going down anytime soon. Well, we can only hope for better days between the two.
