International sports brand Nike is all set to release the world’s first, ‘Fake Grass Shoe’. Yes, the shoe is covered in a layer of fake golf grass with the Nike emblem barely showing through it.
The inspiration behind the shoes
Turns out that it was designed to camouflage in the grass surroundings during golf. We’re not sure though if anyone had a problem with their shoes being seen on a grassy landscape. Nike however has not left the opportunity pass by. The shoes do look very enticing thanks to the grassy feel. Almost as if you are walking in a bit of nature yourself.
The trainers have Nike swooshes to their sides and soles. A classic white swoosh on a soft grassy background. Nice touch eh?
The Nike Golf Shoes – Air Max 1 G – NRG Grass 2019 will be launched at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The stylish trainers are being hailed as ‘The greatest show on grass’ by GolfPoser.
This brand new spikeless golf shoe blends signature AM1 details with golf specific footwear technology to produce an almost identical replication of one of the most iconic and most popular Nike sneakers of all time. The iconic Air Max 1 silhouette has been adopted in its entirety – meaning that the style now features a visible Max Air unit at the heel to complete the OG aesthetic perfectly.Golf Poser
Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Grass” is all set for release in the coming weeks of January 2019. The new model retails at a decent $ 140. They will be available only at select Nike sportswear stores and on Nike.com
Stylecodes and more…
If you would like a pair of these beasts, the style code for the grass shoes is BQ4804-300. Also, the trainers are apparently spikeless making the shoes wearable on any terrain. Nevertheless GolfPoser also mentions that the soles of the shoes are designed using Nike’s traction technology which makes it more than efficient for use in Golf.
This cushioning heel unit combines well with the full length Phylon foam at the midsole for extreme comfort all day long, while the same Air Max 1 shoe last has been used to recreate the same feel through the whole upper design. The new spikeless outsole is soft yet durable enough to wear on any terrain, while the design has been inspired by Nike’s integrated traction technology for incredible grip, stability and performance through the swing.Golf Poser
Best take-away from Nike Air Max 1 G
What is truly amazing about this is the fact that, the trainers come with a hefty 1-year waterproof warranty. Nike’s new Air Max 1 G sports not only the green grass model but also two other styles. They retail for $120 and are pretty damn slick to look at. Here are the style codes for the other two respective trainers. Style Code: AQ0863-100 and Style Code: BQ4804_001
Last but not the least, Nike’s Grass feel shoes may definitely camouflage with the golf-grass. However, the material used for making the grass ensures that it blends, yet pops out in style.
