22-year old rapper, Austin Richard Post has been shattering the glass ceiling at the blockbusters recently. He is the only artist ever to break the record held by the Beatles for the last 54 years!
Fifty four years! You heard that right. Since 2010, Malone’s music has been catching quite a bit of attention (in a good way).
Rise to Fame
Post’s Album, Beerbongs and Bentleys is estimated to remain in the number 1 spot on the US Billboard for a second week.
The album has a total of 18 tracks, all of which have appeared in the Billboard top 100 list! Malone’s Tracks; ‘Psycho’, ‘Better’ and ‘Rockstar’, are seen in the top 10 while the other tracks are in the top 20.
Malone has also taken 1st place among the list of artists who have the highest number of songs in the top 40. He currently has a whopping 14 songs featured in the list.
The Beatles’ set this record in the year 1964 when they had 6 songs in the top 20. Just last week, artist J.Cole had touched this milestone with his album KOD. While talking about Post Malone, Jon Caramanica had this to say.

Malone’s album has broken several records, not just on Billboard, but also on Spotify. His album, Beerbongs and Bentleys, broke the first day streaming record on Spotify with a dizzying 78.7 million plays.
Billboard critic, Andrew Unterberger, recently commented On Beerbongs and Bentleys. According to him, ‘Malone kind of stops trying altogether, that the album is largely what you’d expect from Post, given his recent singles.’
It’s a celebration of being young, famous and fantastically wealthy with an undercurrent of heart-breaking casting, a take on the artist’s superficial prosperity.Andrew Unterberger
What is Post working on now?
I’m learning to be patient with the things that I want. Nothing rushed can be kept. You have to build emotional muscle/strength to not destroy what is meant for you.— Post Malone (@lmPostMalone) December 28, 2018
In an interview with Billboard, Post’s manager announced that the artist plans to establish his own record label and film production company. He has also confirmed that Malone’s third album is on its way and should be out by June 2018.
As Post Malone celebrates his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated May 12) as well as the biggest streaming week ever for an album, the rapper/singer concurrently breaks the record for the most simultaneous top 20 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.Billboard Magazine
Post Malone, whose sophomore effort Beerbongs and Bentleys opened with 461,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, lands nine songs in the top 20 of the Hot 100, shattering the previous record of six, which was shared by The Beatles and J. Cole.
The Beatles held the record for 54 years, as they charted six songs in the top 20 on charts dated April 11 and April 18, 1964.
J. Cole tied the mark just last week (on the chart dated May 5), fueled by the No. 1 Billboard 200 bow of his latest album, KOD
Congratulations Post! Keep the good work comin’!
