Spoilers Ahead: Don’t read if you still haven’t seen the latest episode of Game of Thrones and want to keep the mystery alive!

Army of Winterfell

Damn right! The Battle Of Winterfell, the longest episode of the eight season of Game of Thrones is full of guts, bones, blood and finally, glory. ‘The Long Night’ is when the entire Westeros (of course except Cersei and her followers), go to war with the Army of the Dead. And boy, what a war it was.

Dothraki heading into the night
The War Begins

The third episode starts where the second left off, with everyone preparing themselves for the battle that is about to come. The entire army at Winterfell is waiting with baited breath for the Night King and his army to emerge from the winter darkness. However, before the dead arrive, Melisandre reaches the troops and lights up their swords to prepare them for the battle. The entire Dothraki clan, charged by the flaming swords, head into the darkness to fight the dead. But before anything could happen, the flames die out and few soldiers that were left ‘alive’ are seen running back. And then, ‘the long night’ finally begins.

The dead are relentless and the living fight as hard as they can. There is fire and dragon glass, crunching bones and spewing blood, bodies falling and bodies rising. And in the midst of all this, there is an epic fight between the dragons – a fight between ice and fire!

Fight of the Dragons
Fight of the Dragons

Dany and Jon, along with their dragons get blinded by a snowstorm, tussle with trees and then rise above clouds, waiting for the Night King and his dragon to arrive. On the other side, the troops fall back and Melisandre once again comes to their rescue by lighting the trenches. But does it stop the dead army? Only momentarily.

Swords light up!

How do you really kill something that is already dead? The dead aren’t scared of dying and that’s why they don’t stop. The dead army finds its way inside the castle with skeletons climbing on top of other skeletons, eating and clawing their way through anything and everything living. The living, on the other hand, are tiring out and scrambling to fight for their lives. And then the dead giant enters, crunching and killing everything in vicinity including the fiesty Lyanna Mormont. But before the giant could crush her completely, she stabs his eye with a dragon glass blade. Way to go!

Arya Stark becomes the warrior that she was training to be. Slashing, ripping and stabbing – she works her way around the dead. But when the size of the dead army chasing her keeps on increasing, Clegane and Beric Dondarrion, come and save her. In the process, Beric (the eye-patched guy who got multiple lives) finally dies. Arya and Clegane bump into Melisandre who reminds her of her destiny – “killing brown eyes, green eyes, blue eyes..”.

What do we say to the God of Death?

Outside the walls, Jon and Dany are going to great lengths to kill the Night King and his White Walker dragon. Jon’s dragon is finally able to bring the White Walker dragon down, but loses its life. With both Jon and the Night King down on the ground, and Dany still on the dragon, it seems like this is the end of the King. Dany looks at the Night King, smiles and says “Dracrys”.

The dragon aims his fire directly at the Night King but does he die? Uh-oh! He is unharmed. Jon hurries after the King in an attempt to kill him, but obviously that infuriates him. Turning around, he raises the entire body of dead (the entire Winterfell army) and turns them into White Walkers. Take that, Jon Snow.

Dany swoops in to save Jon and lights up the entire army of the dead so that Jon can head in and save Bran. Inside the castle, Theon and his troops are bravely defending Bran from the multiple skeletons finding their way to him. Jon rushes inside the castle, fighting the dead along the way. The dead have finally made their way inside the crypt, where Sansa, Tyrion and others were hiding safely.

Outside, the body count is rising and the White Walker dragon is searching for Jon. Ser Jorah is fighting to keep Dany alive and safe from the dead as her dragon took off with the dead clinging on to him for their lives (or not!).

The Night King finally reaches Bran as the only person left guarding him now is Theon. In a last attempt to save Bran, Theon charges at the Night King who nonchalantly, kills him.

Theon Greyjoy
“You are a good man, Theon”

Just as the Night King is about to take his sword to kill Bran, and the White Walker dragon is about to kill Jon, and the army of the dead is becoming too much to bear for the living, Arya charges towards the Night King. He turns around and hold her by the neck. Arya drops her dagger from her raised hand, catches it in her other hand, and sticks it into the Night King. And that is how, the Night King and his army finally die.

Arya Stark - Slayer of the Night King

Jon, Dany, Brienne, Jamie, Tyrion, Sansa, Bran and Arya live to see another day and fight another war. The dead fulfilled their prophecies and their duties – Jorah Mormont: saved his queen; Theon Greyjoy: saved Bran and got redemption; Lyanna Mormont: killed the giant and died like a hero; Melisandre: served the God of Light and showed Arya the way; Beric: saved Arya and fulfilled his destiny; Dolorous Ed: saved Samwell Tarly.

The trailer of the next episode promises to start another fight – the final fight. Who will win the final war? Who will sit on the Iron Throne? Is Dany or is Jon the rightful heir to the throne? We can only wait and watch.

Till then, keep saying ‘No’ to the ‘God of Death’.

Jon Snow Finally Knows And We Can’t Keep Calm

Spoilers Galore: Reader discretion is advised!

Winter is finally here with the eighth season of Game of Thrones. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the last installment of this series, and boy, the first episode lived up to all that people were hoping for. Every scene from the episode brought something new, and we’re here to break it down for you. So, hold your dragons.. err, horses!

The Reunions

Jon and Danaerys

The episode starts with a lot of reunions. Well, everyone is here at Winterfell – the Starks, the Lannisters, the Targareyns, and even the Tarly 😉 Jon Snow finally met Bran (it was pretty sweet), Sansa met Tyrion (a very smart encounter, especially with Sansa holding the upper hand), and Danaerys met Sansa (“Winterfell is yours, my grace”). But the best reunion of all was that of Jon and Arya – checking out each others’ swords with Arya downplaying how many she had killed with the Needle; and reminding Jon that family comes first.

Cersei And Her Sinister Plans

PC: Game of Thrones
Cersei Lannister

At the other end in King’s Landing, Cersei is delighted to learn that the Army of the Dead has broken down The Wall and are marching south. What’s more, she finally gave in to the persistent demands of Euron Greyjoy and slept with him who is insistent of putting a prince in her belly (P.S. she is already pregnant with Jamie’s child). Was it because she was missing Jamie? Or was just to keep him close and not abandon the last support she had? We’ll only know in future episodes. To make up for her disappointment in her brothers, Cersei puts a bounty on both her brothers’ heads. Yep, Jamie included. And how does she want them to be killed? With the same crossbow that Tyrion killed their father. Sweet poetic justice!

The Greyjoys

Side note: Yara Greyjoy is well and alive (while still in Euron’s captivity). But not for long. Theon, who finally found his own in the last season, comes on board and rescues Yara (also, gets a punch for abandoning her last season). All said and done, Yara was overjoyed and gave Theon her blessings when he decides to go north and fight for the Starks.

The Dragons Know

PC: onlinetv
The Dragons

At Winterfell, the dragons are scaring the shit out of everyone. The Mother of the Dragons on the other hand, isn’t getting the respect she wanted. The Lords who pledged their allegiance to Jon and declared him the King in the North are not very willing to accept a Targareyn queen. Sansa, who had been trying to keep her cellars full for the upcoming winter, doesn’t know how to feed an entire Unsullied army and the Dothraki. Also, “what do dragons even eat?” Apparently, anything they want! Danaerys is worried that her dragons aren’t eating enough. So, she takes Jon to meet them (why?!). It is a known fact that only the Targareyns can ride the dragons. How did Danaerys then not question Jon’s ability to climb on Rahegal’s back and ride him in the cold North?! Looks like even the dragons know!

The Meeting With The Tarly

Danaerys meets Samwell Tarly, the man who cured Ser Jorah Mormont and wants to thank him. Unfortunately, the meeting ends when Sam realises his family is dead. Why? ‘coz they refused to bend the knee to the Queen. Hence, they were killed by dragon fire! Depressed and looking for an escape, Sam runs into Bran, who has been waiting for ‘a friend’. Last season, Sam and Bran figured out the true lineage of Jon Snow. Putting two and two together, they realised that Jon is actually the legitimate son of Lyna Stark and Rhaegar Targareyn. Bran now pushes Sam to tell his long-time friend Jon, his true destiny.

Jon Snow Knows

PC: Daily Express
Jon in the crypt

Sam is overjoyed to meet Jonin the crypt. However, their happiness is limited. Samwell informs Jon about the demise of his family and blames Danaerys for the same. While questioning whether she is the right choice for the throne, he tells Jon his true parentage. “You are the true king. Aegon Targareyn, sixth of the name, protector of the realm, and all of it.” Jon is almost furious. “My father was the most honourable man I knew. You are telling me that he lied to me?”. Samwell then explains that Ned Stark’s sister took an oath from him to always protect Jon. If King Robert had know that Jon was a Targareyn, he would have killed Jon, just like he intended to kill Dany. After hearing the truth, Jon is completely torn. Will he ascend the throne as the true King? Or will he let his feeling for Danaerys dictate the future of the Seven Kingdoms?

The Night King Signals

Tormund Giantsbane is alive! He, and a few others, including the Beric Dondarrion, find Lord Ned Umber (a child, at most) stuck to the wall with limbs surrounding him. He was left there by the Night King and had become a part of the Dead Army. His sudden shout was enough to wake people from the dead. Thankfully, he was burn by Beric and his fiery sword.

One More Thing…

PC: Vanity Fair
Jamie Lannister

The last scene of the show sees a cloaked man atop a horse, arriving in Winterfell. The big reveal? It’s Jamie Lannister. If you remember, he left Cersei in the last season, when he realised that she only promised her armies in the North to thwart of her enemies. She didn’t really intend to keep her word. While Jamie gets of the horse, who is the first person he sees in Winterfell? Bran Stark – the same boy whom he pushed off the tower and crippled for life.

There were a lot of reunions, some breakthroughs and a lot of groundwork laid for the upcoming episodes. Jon finally knows his true parentage, Danaerys knows that one of her dragons is now a part of the Dead Army, Jamie knows that Bran is alive and well, and well, Tyrion knows that Jon and Danaerys are sleeping together. What’s going to happen next? We’ll find out next week.

Till then, prepare for winter!

Sophie Turner Was Not Allowed To Wash Her Hair In GoT

Sansa Stark is currently breaking the internet. HBO’s clip showing the Lady of the North and The Mother Of Dragons, meet was one very viral ten second clip. Turns out, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa on Game of Thrones did a great many things to fit into Sansa’s shoes. That includes, going without washing her hair for months at a time.

The Hair Nightmare

In a candid interview with Instyle, the Game of Thrones star shed light on how much she had to do to be ‘Sansa’. Speaking of which, most characters on GoT, save for Khaleesi and Cersei, showcased a greasy hairdo throughout. With a story set in the backdrop of the middle age, Sansa sported really greasy hair during her trials on Game of Thrones.

Sansa Stark(Sophie Turner)

For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl, but toward season five they started asking me to not wash my hair, and it was really disgusting.

Sophie Turner

Relief finally…

Sophie was 13 years old when she first played the role of Sansa in Game of Thrones. Turner, 22 now, recollects her horrific hair routine for the role. A natural blonde by birth, Sophie had dyed her hair red to play Sansa. Not washing her hair, artificial snow getting stuck in it, and continually dying it red, had caused a lot of hairfall. Thankfully, she now gets to wash her hair whenever needed.

Now I wear a wig, so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice. But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair.

Sophie Turner

Turner’s going places!

Along with the immensely popular character of Sansa, Sophie has also played Jean Gray in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Vida in The Thirteenth Tale (2013) . She has also made appearances in Barely Lethal and Another Me. The actress seems to be growing leaps and bounds in her career as of now. She is also the face of Wella Professionals.

The biggest thing is WellaPlex. It’s a hair mask that you put on, leave in for 10 minutes, and then wash out. It repairs the bonds in your hair so that it doesn’t just feel strong and healthy, it actually is stronger and healthier afterward. I use it every week, because with the job I have, it’s a lot of dyeing, straightening, curling, and heat damage. I’ll put in on after showering, watch a bit of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and then I go back and wash it off.

Sophie’s life right now

In fact, Turner owes the replenishing and repairing of her hair condition to the good hair products she used. Currently, (thanks to the wig) Sophie sports, Icy Beige Blonde hair; a Koleston Perfect hair dye result. The dye is known to give lasting color and vibrancy.

The young actress is engaged to Camp Rock Disney star and pop-icon Joe Jonas. When asked about where she finds the most creative inspiration, Turner said that it would be New York. Meanwhile, let’s wait and watch out for the finale of GoT, everybody knows its going to be a good one!

George RR Martin Teases GOT Fans With News

GOT fans are counting days for their favorite show to return with the final season. This season has been long awaited and will have our favorites fighting for the throne. Who wins is something that everyone is constantly speculating. Also, we don’t have just one favorite, do we?! Amidst talks and discussions and fan theories, iconic writer and father of GOT, George RR Martin has managed to tease us with his latest tweets.

Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen

Are We Ready?

As per the ‘A song of Ice and Fire’ author, not only will there be a long Game of Thrones trailer, but also a teaser. Fans are going crazy post his tweet. It has already received countless likes and comments, and is being constantly retweeted. Martin has also included the link to the recently released teaser by HBO confirming 14th April as the release date.

Fan Theory

If you are a diehard GOT fan, you must have already seen the latest teaser. Taking the world by storn, it showed the Starks in the crypts underneath Winterfell. It’s the place where their ancestors lie buried. As Jon, Arya and Sansa walk through the crypts they come across three statues. What is causing greater concern is the way the statues look. The statues are that of Sansa, Arya and Jon. What has caught our attention is the fact that Jon’s statue looks older than his sisters’. Also, not to forget, the place looked as if life had been sucked out of it. This strongly suggests that the White Walkers are heading south.

Although it’s evident that the presence of the statues in the crypts indicates that the three will die, there is a strong possibility that Jon will die after his sisters. This is what one of the fans had to say and we kind of agree with the possibility.

Omg I think I get it! I have a theory! Those are statues of the dead right? Arya’s & Sans a look like them are that age because they die at that age. Jon’s statue is old because he lives to old age and bran isn’t there because he’s going to be immortal or some shit.

When’s The Final Book Releasing Martin?

What’s interesting is that Martin has refused to say anything further keeping the fans guessing. Naturally, some fans were eager to know when he planned to release his final book, Winds of Winter. A fan commented, “Hopefully the next book is out at some point not too long after the show is over. The show is amazing, but there’s always so much more depth in books that shows don’t have the time to delve into”. Yet another user added, “Where’s the Winds of Winter though?”

Jon Snow

The book is expected to release next year and would be the penultimate one of the series. In an exclusive interview with the Guardian earlier, Martin had said, “I’ve been struggling with it for a few years. The Winds of Winter is not so much a novel as a dozen novels, each with a different protagonist, each having a different cast of supporting players, antagonists, allies and lovers around them, and all of these weaving together against the march of time in an extremely complex fashion. So it’s very, very challenging. Fire and Blood by contrast was very simple. Not that it’s easy – it still took me years to put together – but it is easier.”

Let’s see which new clues wait upon us in the new trailer.

HBO Just Released Game Of Thrones 2019 Teaser!

Finally, we get to see Game Of Thrones grace our laptops and TV screens. HBO just released a sneak peek into the hit series. The clip is a short one but seems to say a lot. It gives us a major hint as to what to expect from G.O.T season 8 that is scheduled to release in 2019.

The Teaser

Game of Thrones had left us hanging (from an ice wall literally), with a mindblowing ending to season 7. The plot was absolutely unpredictable.

*Spoiler Alert* If you haven’t watched G.O.T yet, don’t click the video below.

Game of Thrones S7

With the ‘Nightwalker’ King now marching into human territory with a ‘Nightwalker’ Dragon (*gasp*), the world has been desperately waiting to see what the next season will bring.

Apparently, HBO chose a novel time to release its promo. During the Golden Globes 76th annual awards, the hit channel aired its commercial – featuring all the shows that will be on screen this spring.

The brief clip showing Sansa and Daenerys meet was quite the tell-tale. As usual, fans went into frenzy as soon as the teaser hit their screens.

The Meeting Of The Titans

The clip showed a very smug looking Daenerys walk over to Sansa. The Lady of The North assessed the Dragon Queen before accepting her as ‘The Queen’. However, a lot has been said about whether this acceptance was genuine or not. Giving rise to speculation were the expressions on Sansa’s face that people just couldn’t help but read into.

Also Read: Game of Thrones Behind The Scenes Content

Stark’s sister and assassin, Arya was seen standing beside Sansa as she bowed her head and declared, “Winterfell is yours, Your Grace”. Jon Snow on the other hand was seen flashing a worried look (probably a pleading one?). Was he worried about his sister’s acceptance of his and Daenerys’ relationship?

Game Of Thrones nerds claim that the clip predicted trouble in the Stark family over Daenerys’ claim to the throne and Jon’s romantic involvement with her. Fans were also eager to make an interesting connection. Sansa was now in the same place that Ned Stark was in, when King Robert Baratheon arrived at Winterfell.

Game Of Thrones

People have even read into Sansa Stark’s tone of voice compared to her father Ned. Some say this speaks of trouble. But hey, Game Of Thrones wouldn’t be the same without fights and struggle right?!

Conspiracy Theories Galore

Jon Snow ( Kit Harrington) was seen standing between the two queens, who were facing each other. Fans believe that his worried look could also possibly hint at a discord over his decision to bend the knee.

The fleeting clip was very suggestive and spoke a lot about what is to come in Game Of Throne Season 8. One of the many things we are sure to witness would be the unravelling of Jon’s true identity and him making the difficult choice of choosing between his Targaryen bloodline and his adoptive family.

Game of Thrones Season 8 is slated for release in April 2019. HBO has confirmed that the season will be short in comparison to the previous seasons. Short, but one that will be hard to forget. HBO CEO was quoted saying that Season 8, feels like 6 movies!

With each episode being a confirmed 90 minutes long, we doubt fans could ask for anything more than this.

The End of GOT Will Leave You In Therapy, Warns Actor Gwendoline Christie

April 2019 seems ages away as GOT fans continue to wait for their favourite show to come back with its finale season. A cult favourite, it has sent fans across the globe in a tizzy sparking rumours, fan theories and elaborate deliberations on the possible ending of their favourite show.

Courtesy: Indiewire

No matter what the ending is going to be, it’s definitely gonna leave a feeling of void given the years of association with the Starks, the Lannisters, the Targaryens, the dragons, and all those who gave us a taste of love, lust, deceit, power and everything that can transpire on the way to claiming the Iron Throne. While fans continue to go berserk with their theories and deductions, Gwendoline Christie drops yet another hint, albeit a shocker of sorts.

The End Will Leave Us Numb

7 years, 7 seasons, 7 kingdoms, and 67 mind-blowing episodes with a runtime that always left us wanting for more. The level of commitment we feel towards the show is beyond words and worldly measures. Jon Snow, Arya, Tyrion, Daenerys- it’s difficult to choose who’ll eventually make it to theIron Throne. Of course, this is assuming that one of our favourites win.

After spending years and sleepless hours mulling over them, it’s going to be extremely painful to come to terms with the fact that the show has finally reached its last season. Add to it, Christie’s latest comment while speaking to E!, that gives the feels that the pain we are anticipating is just a tip of the iceberg considering what the makers actually have in store for us.

“You’re going to need therapy. I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help,”

All of us are aware that Christie plays an important part as the Brienne of Tarth in Game ofThrones. Her loyalty is unquestionable and her valour is well-known. Despite her lack of convention, she’s every bit a woman and human. A comment like this coming from someone as important as her has definitely got us worried.

Who Said The Game Was Going To Be Easy?

Despite suggesting that we might end up seeking professional help, she refused to answer when asked if there would be deaths in the finale season. We all know that the impending battle is going to be massive. The HBO teaser has set the tone and we can only speculate about the possible outcome. The actors are equally heartbroken if not more considering that the show is coming to an end.

Courtesy: Tv Guide

“I think it’s going to make me incredibly emotional. We’re all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it’s been a truly incredible thing to be a part of,”

Gwendoline Christie

Hope Is All We Have

We have no idea how GOT will end. And we most certainly don’t want our favourite people to die. But as Cersei Lannister had rightly said (season 1, episode 7), “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.”
